Based on a 40-year study of human strengths, Gallup created a language of the 34 most common talents and developed the Clifton StrengthsFinder™ assessment to help people discover and describe these talents. We believe discovering your talents, what you're good at, will be helpful to you as you consider your own calling to church planting. When you complete the StrengthsFinder™ assessment you will receive from Gallup a guide to your 5 talent themes and an action guide with ideas for implementing your strengths in your ministry and relationships.

If you share your StrengthsFinder™ results on Church Planter Profiles, you will also receive a personalized development guide you may view or download to help you further discover and develop your strengths for church planting.

How to complete the Strengthsfinder™

There are two ways to purchase a code to complete a StrengthsFinder™ assessment. (The price is not included in your Church Planter Profile upgrade.) You may purchase a Strengths Discovery Package from the Gallup Strengths Center. You may also purchase one of the strengths based books published by Gallup:

StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath

This is the core StrengthsFinder™ resource. It provides a brief introduction to the concept and research behind the StrengthsFinder™ and a detailed reference guide to the 34 StrengthsFinder™ talent themes.

 

 

Strengths-Based Leadership by Tom Rath & Barry Conchie

This book provides additional insight into the relationship between strengths and leadership.  In addition to identifying your 5 talent themes, your assessment report will identify your strengths in one of 4 domains of leadership.  A detailed reference guide to the 34 StrengthFinder™ themes is included with specific applications to leadership.

 

Share your results

If you have upgraded to a full Church Planter Profile, you may share the results of your StrengthsFinder™ assessment here. They will then be available to the planting network you have chosen and included in your zip package for sharing with others.
